The way we work

• we look for professional partners who are willing and able to do social work on a transnational scale. We support their efforts to build a national system providing care and after-care for children who cannot live within their own families
• in collaboration with such partners and according to well-defined strategies we develop projects with the aim of furthering the well-being of children. These programmes serve as models, which can be duplicated by our partners abroad and implemented in other countries as well
• the General Sectretariat of ISS, together with the ISS network, provides continuous professional training to ISS staff worldwide

• supporting the social and professional integration of young people which gives them a basis for a better future in their country of origin

• training programmes in international social work, transnational mediation and foreign cooperation
• professional training to improve competence in areas such as non-accompanied minors and transnational help to children and families
