Our Ethical and Legal Guidelines

Above all else we place the respect for the human dignity of each and every individual regardless of race or creed.  Our values are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 and the UNCRC of 1989.

For us, human rights, and in particular the rights of the child, are understood as ethical values and legal standards. As such they guide our actions and reflections, even above national laws.

Our activities across national borders do not depend on the national, political, cultural or religious affiliations of those concerned.

All our interventions are based on a deep respect for the individual, taking into account cultural specificities. To promote this spirit, our partners always come from the country where the intervention or programme takes place. Our role is to compile all the information relevant to the case under discussion, so that persons or families have all possible options at their disposal, and are able to find the solution which best serves the interest of the child(ren) concerned.
